SUSAN KATZ
Director, Corporate Events & Travel
True Value Company
Susan Katz is Director of Corporate Events & Travel for the True Value Company. True Value is hardware cooperative with 5,000 members throughout the United States. With her staff, she is responsible for the production and execution of three exhibits a year, two of which are in the list of the top 200 tradeshows in the country, and an additional 75 meetings. She has been in the industry for over 30 years and prior to joining True Value, she worked for several non-profit organizations including the National Safety Council and the American Dental Association.
Susan has sat on several industry advisory boards including the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, InterContinental Hotel Group, Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau Advisory Council, Atlanta Customer Advisory Board, New Orleans, Orlando and Philadelphia Advisory Boards. She is also active in the Greater-Midwest Chapter of PCMA, has served on their board and was a member of the Community Service Committee. She was honored by PCMA with the Distinguished Meeting Professional Award at the PCMA Annual Meeting in 2009. In addition, Susan was on the PCMA Foundation Board prior to joining the PCMA Board of Directors and will chair the Board of Directors in 2011.
Susan and her husband Richard have been married 32 years and have two children, Rachel and Nathan.
LEE KITE
Director, Distinguished Events
American Cancer Society, Illinois Division, Inc.
Lee Kite has more than 20 years of executive level non-profit and corporate experience. As Founder and President of two companies, Lee has extensive knowledge in the areas of business development/operations, sales, marketing, communications, and event production.
Currently, as Director of Distinguished Events for the Illinois Division of the American Cancer Society, Lee oversees the statewide gala and golf program. She also serves as an ACS national strategic event lead and trainer. The largest event in the Illinois Division, Discovery Ball, is led by more than 60 corporate CEOs and philanthropists and has raised in excess of $8.3 million since its inception in 2007. Illinois is also home to the largest golf tournament produced by the Society, which is held yearly at Medinah Country Club.
Kite graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign and holds both undergraduate degree and masters degrees in education. Lee is married, has two children, and resides in Northbrook, Illinois.
REDMOON THEATER
Redmoon Theater creates theatrical spectacles that transform streets, stages, and architectural landmarks into places of public celebration utilizing an original language capable of speaking across cultural, ethnic, and generational boundaries.
Redmoon for Hire supports Redmoon’s mission while providing ingenious entertainment for events through unique food service, atmosphere performers and large scale spectacles.
Frank Maugieri, Artistic Director (Accepting on behalf of Redmoon Theater)
Frank Maugeri became the Artistic Director of Redmoon in 2009. He has served as a director, designer, and performer for over 13 years; in addition, he shapes the aesthetic of Redmoon’s marketing materials, leads the staff in community vision work, and manages much of Redmoon’s large community of freelance artists and interns.
Rebecca Hunter, Executive Producer (Accepting on behalf of Redmoon Theater)
After joining Redmoon in 2005, Rebecca Hunter became Executive Producer and now co-leads the organization with Artistic Director Frank Maugeri. Over her time at Redmoon she has produced numerous productions and events for Redmoon including large scale outdoor spectacles, site-specific productions and private events both locally and internationally.
